Yin is a bit more than a “choreographed nap”, but just a very little bit more. It is all about surrendering and giving your body the time and space to heal itself. By holding gentle poses for 2-5 minutes, you can get into the connective tissues around a joint. The practice of Yin is all about surrendering, not only your body, but also your mind. Holding these poses for this extended amount of time helps you practice being in the present, calmness, and self-compassion. Not to mention it will help you have an excellent nights sleep!
